•Wine Spectator will release its full list of the Top 100 Wines of the year today at https://top100.winespectator.com/. The announcement caps the magazine’s countdown of the most exciting wines of 2020, including its Wine of the Year award, which was bestowed on a 2010 Gran Reserva Rioja Especial on Friday.

•Mijenta Tequila has released a reposado expression. Aged six months in a blend of American white oak, French oak, and French acacia casks, Mijenta Reposado joins a blanco Tequila in the label’s lineup. Only 6,500 bottles of the Reposado are available in the first production run, retail priced at $65 a 750-ml. Mijento was launched earlier this year by former Bacardi CEO Mike Dolan.

•New York City-based Casa Komos Beverage Group has expanded distribution for its Superbird canned cocktail. The Paloma cocktail, which is made with Blanco Tequila, freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, agave nectar, and sparkling water, will now be available at retailers across Massachusetts, joining existing distribution in the Tri-State area. Casa Komos Beverage Group was founded in 2019 by Richard Betts and Joe Marchese, and currently markets the Superbird RTD and Komos Tequila brands.
