Fever-Tree’s U.S. Sales Jump 23% In 2020

February 1, 2021

Amid increasing interest in the premium mixer category, U.K.-based Fever-Tree saw U.S. sales leap 23% to £58.5 million ($80m) last year, boosted by the rising home mixology trend.

Charles Gibb, CEO of Fever-Tree North America, said gains were driven by the launch of a Sparkling Pink Grapefruit mixer, which “has mirrored the exceptional growth of Tequila, and generated an additional pillar for future growth for the business, while our core Tonic and Ginger Beer portfolios have accelerated their growth.”

Fever-Tree’s global sales slipped 3% to £252 million ($346m) in 2020, as double-digit progress in the U.S. and the company’s Rest of World operating region was offset by a 22% decline to £103 million ($141m) in the U.K. Still, Fever-Tree posted 20% off-premise growth in the U.K. last year, and claims a 40% value share in its home market.—Daniel Marsteller
