Brown-Forman To Invest $95 Million In Louisville Distillery

February 19, 2021

With premium Bourbon booming, Brown-Forman has announced plans to double the capacity of its Louisville, Kentucky distillery on an investment of $95 million. Upgrades will include doubling the number of fermenters, adding column still capacity and mash cookers, creating green space, and modernizing the distillery’s workspace.

The project is expected to take more than two years to complete, with the site remaining fully operational during construction. Brown-Forman’s premium Bourbon portfolio, including the Woodford Reserve and Old Forester brands, grew net sales by 18% in the first half of the company’s current fiscal year.—Daniel Marsteller
