Constellation, Southern Glazer’s Alignment To Cover About 40 U.S. Markets

Earlier this week, Constellation announced that it will consolidate about 70% of its wine and spirits business with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, effective April 1, up from about 40% that’s currently handled by the leading U.S. wholesaler. Constellation tells SND that as of April, Southern Glazer’s will distribute its wine and spirits brands across about 40 states, up from the 15 markets in which the two companies are currently partnered, with changes taking place across a mix of open, franchise, and control markets.—Daniel Marsteller
