•New York-based Other Half Brewing has begun operations at Williamsburg’s Domino Park, the former Domino Sugar factory on the Brooklyn waterfront. The taproom and brewery has a five barrel brewing capacity and will focus on experimental and small batch releases, including fruited beers and seltzers. The new taproom is currently open at limited capacity and allows customers to pick up the brewery’s beers to-go. Beginning this summer, the taproom will offer Champagne, small batch spirits, and craft cocktails, in addition to the wines and Other Half beers currently available.

•Chico, California’s Sierra Nevada has announced Summer Break Hazy IPA. The new 4.6% abv beer will replace Summerfest Czech-style Pilsner, the company’s previous summer seasonal, and will be available on draft and in 6-, 12-, and 24-packs of 12-ounce cans. Summer Break is rolling out now across the U.S. and will be available from mid-April through July. Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.’s U.S. volume grew 6% to 14.7 million (2.25-gallon) cases last year, according to Impact Databank.
