Exclusive: Terlato Unveils New Irish Whiskey Brand, Dublin InkJune 4, 2021
Terlato Artisan Spirits is launching a new Irish whiskey label, Dublin Ink, in a 50/50 partnership with Steven Nathan, founder of Guanxi and former managing director-international at Distell Group Ltd. With its brand positioning inspired by the ink and warpaint adorning Irish warriors as they were led into battle by ancient Celtic kings, Dublin Ink is bottled at 90 proof, higher than most Irish whiskies, and will retail at $40 when it debuts in September.
Finished in Sherry casks, Dublin Ink is 50% malt, also setting it apart from many competitors in the blended Irish whiskey segment. The new entry, of which 10,000 cases are launching initially, will join Amarula liqueur, Angostura rum, Breaker Bourbon, Bunnahabhain single malt Scotch whisky, Distillatorio Nonino, Langley’s No. 8 London Gin and Riazul Tequila, among others, in Terlato’s spirits stable.—Daniel MarstellerSubscribe to Shanken News Daily’s Email Newsletter, delivered to your inbox each morning.
