•The Federalist, part of the Terlato Wines portfolio, is extending its “History in the Making” campaign with a new Cabinet of Summer initiative. The push will see The Federalist give three fans the opportunity to receive $10,000 to live out their ultimate summer dreams as official ambassadors, or ‘secretaries,’ of summer activities, including the outdoors, grilling, and athletics. With the new effort, Terlato will look to continue the momentum for The Federalist, which was up 12% to over 360,000 cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank. Terlato tells SND it’s targeting 30% growth for the franchise this year, led by its Cabernet and Red Blend offerings.

•Designer Vera Wang has entered the sparkling wine world with PARTY Prosecco. The newcomer is imported by Royal Wine Corp. and is a DOC-appellated wine made from Glera grapes by winemaker Claudio Manera of Araldica. The wine is packaged in a matte silver bottle with “party” in neon. Vera Wang PARTY is now available for around $25 a 750-ml. in retailers across the U.S. and at the brand’s website.

•Gatlinburg, Tennessee’s Ole Smoky Distillery has launched a new small batch whiskey: James Ownby Reserve Tennessee Straight Bourbon. The initial batch of the 47% abv whiskey is blended from 200 barrels and is named for Ole Smoky founder Joe Baker’s great-grandfather. The charcoal-filtered whiskey is now available in major markets across the U.S. and at Ole Smoky’s Gatlinburg and Nashville distilleries for a suggested price of $40 a 750-ml.

•Oregon’s Hood River Distillers has relaunched Easy Rider Kentucky Straight Bourbon with a new look. The whiskey is bottled at 40% abv after maturing for four years. The new packaging was designed by North and features a red eagle on a light tan label. The whiskey is now available in the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, Georgia, and Texas in 750-ml., 1-liter, and 1.75-liter bottles, with the 750-ml. retailing for around $25.
