•Bardstown’s Heaven Hill Distillery has launched a new Bourbon, paying tribute to the founding brothers behind the company. Five Brothers Bourbon is bottled at 45% abv and is a blend of whiskies aged five to nine years. The new release features a picture of the five Shapira brothers who founded Heaven Hill, along with vintage typefaces and a label design recalling the 1930s. Five Brothers will be available exclusively in Kentucky for a suggested price of $60 a 750-ml. and will be featured at Heaven Hill’s new visitor center.

•Vintage Wine Estates has appointed Jessica Kogan as CMO. Kogan will also continue to serve as chief digital officer, overseeing all DTC channels and e-grocery omnichannel strategy. As CMO, her areas of responsibility will now also include messaging wholesale marketing and fostering further integration and synergies between digital, business-to-business and wholesale channels. Vintage Wine Estates and Bespoke Capital Acquisitions Corp. recently completed their merger, placing the combined company on the Nasdaq and on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The company has a market cap of above $600 million.

•Volley Tequila Seltzer has named Tom Spaven as CMO. Spaven previously spent nine years at Bacardi, most recently as North America brand director for Bombay Sapphire gin. Volley has also appointed Chris Heslep as chief sales officer. He comes to Volley after a 14-year career managing supplier and distributor relations for beer, spirits, and wine portfolios at MillerCoors, Schenck Company, Beam Suntory, Southern Glazer’s, and Stoli Group USA. Finally, Nick Papanicolaou has become a senior adviser to Volley. He currently oversees Castle Brands at Pernod Ricard, a business with $60 million in sales.

•Napa-based importer and marketer Quintessential has appointed Gianni Acireale as vice president, national accounts. He previously held the same role at Opici Wines and is a 20-year industry veteran. In his new role, Acireale will manage Quintessential’s on-premise national accounts business while also working with the off-premise national accounts team to grow distribution.
