•Purcellville, Virginia-based Catoctin Creek Distilling Co. has partnered with Evergreen Beverage to begin distribution In Canada. Catoctin’s most popular whiskey expressions, including Roundstone Rye 80 Proof, Roundstone Rye 92 Proof Distiller’s Edition, and Roundstone Rye Cask Proof, are now available in Alberta, with mail order service to the rest of Canada. Co-founder and chief distiller Becky Harris plans to visit Canada with other members of the Harris family to launch the brand in the coming months. Catoctin Creek has expanded rapidly over the past several years and is now present in 47 U.S. states.

•Waitsfield, Vermont-based Lawson’s Finest Liquids is launching two limited-edition beers. The first is Hopcelot IPA, a 7% abv offering brewed with eight hop varieties spanning the Pacific Northwest, Australia, and New Zealand. Its name is a reference to “Ocelot” by Vermont band Phish. The second release is Super Session #8, returning to the market as part of Lawson’s Super Session single hop IPA series; it’s made with Mosaic hops and is at 4.8% abv. Both will be available through the end of August across Lawson’s Finest’s nine-state distribution area in the northeast.
