•Santo Spirits, the agave spirits brand created by Guy Fieri and Sammy Hagar, has signed a national distribution deal with Southern Glazer’s. The agreement will bring Santo’s line of Blanco and Reposado Tequilas, plus its Mezquila (a blend of Tequila and mezcal) into SGWS’ massive distribution network and will allow the brand to take advantage of the distributor’s scale, including Proof, the distributor’s e-commerce network.

•Frederick Wildman & Sons is expanding distribution of Chilean import Odfjell Vineyards. Already available in select markets in the U.S. through its wholesale division, Frederick Wildman will now support retail sales of the brand nationally with its sales and marketing services. Named for founder Dan Odfjell, the brand’s wines come from a number of vineyards in the Maipo, Lontué, and Maule valleys in Chile, all of which are certified organic and biodynamic. Wildman will import Odfjell’s Armador, Orzada, and Odfjell lineups, as well as blended wines Aliara and Capítulo. Odfjell wines are expected to be available on retail shelves next month in a limited capacity with national expansion to follow.

•New Zealand’s Giesen Winery is adding to its non-alcohol wine range. Giesen’s new entries include a New Zealand 0% Rosé and 0% Pinot Gris. Both are launching first in New Zealand, and the 0% Rosé will be coming to the U.S. in early 2022. They join the original Giesen 0% Sauvignon Blanc ($15) in the range. “There has been tremendous response to Giesen’s non-alcohol wines. The 0% Sauvignon Blanc exceeded our forecast and expectations, showing the clear consumer demand for high-quality offerings in the NA category,” said Mark Giordano, president of Giesen’s importer Pacific Highway Wines.

•Napa-based Hess Family Wine Estates has appointed Amy Armstrong Smith as its national accounts director. Smith joins from the J.M. Smucker Company where she was a national account manager. Previously she spent 11 years with Brown-Forman as a national account manager, focusing on Kroger grocery locations. With Hess, she will be responsible for driving brand growth and distribution in top national chains.
