•Grey Goose vodka is partnering with sports media brand Uninterrupted on a new video series. Part of The SpringHill Company, the media conglomerate run by LeBron James and business partner Maverick Carter, Uninterrupted is launching In The Moment, an interview series hosted by Cari Champion that features a Grey Goose case holding items of significance to the episode’s guest. The first episode premieres today with former USA women’s national soccer team member Christen Press; future guests will include NFL receiver De’Andre Hopkins and NBA center Chris Bosh. Grey Goose will also make a charitable donation on behalf of each guest to an organization of their choice. Episodes will premiere weekly and can be streamed on Roku devices.
•A new upscale Tequila brand, Calirosa, has aligned nationally with Southern Glazer’s and rolled out to an initial 14 states. The brand debuts with a Rosa Blanco finished for 30 days in California red wine barrels and an Anejo aged in red wine barrels for 18 months, with retail pricing ranging from $49-$74. Calirosa is made in Jalisco, Mexico by the Real family. Calirosa partners Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo have invested in the family-owned distillery. The brand is slated for wider distribution both in the U.S. and Mexico later in the year.
•St. Paul, Minnesota’s Prestige Beverage Group has appointed Kathy Reilly as the vice president of marketing and innovation. In her new role, Reilly will take charge of Prestige’s marketing programs and spur innovation and growth for brands like Indoggo, Kinky, Risata, and others. She joins Prestige from Target, where she most recently served as category marketing director and led the retail giant’s food and beverage brand redesign.
•Opici Wines & Spirits has appointed Republic National Distributing Co. (RNDC) as its wholesale partner in the California market. “We share the same mindset and strategy related to the market opportunity in the high-end wine and spirits categories,” RNDC’s California executive team said in a statement.
