•Brother’s Bond Bourbon, the new brand from actors Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, is off to a fast start, shipping 40,000 cases in its first two months on the market. Now distributed across 15 states, the four-grain, high rye Bourbon is 65% corn, 22% rye with the percentage of wheat and barley undisclosed. Brother’s Bond (40% abv/$40 a 750-ml.) is aged a minimum of four years in virgin American oak barrels. The brand name is a nod to the duo’s on-screen characters “The Salvatore Brothers” from CW’s “The Vampire Diaries,” in which they bonded over Bourbon.

•Oxnard, California’s Herzog Wine Cellars has named David Galzignato as senior winemaker and director of winemaking operations. Galzignato is a wine industry veteran whose career includes time with Charles Krug, Lewis, Duckhorn, and, most recently, Provenance. In his new role he’ll work closely with Herzog head winemaker Joe Hurliman. Herzog Wine Cellars is part of Royal Wine Corp.
