•Philadelphia-based Gopuff has secured an additional $1 billion in funding in a Series H round that values the e-commerce company at $15 billion. According to a report in Tech Crunch new investors include Blackstone’s Horizons platform, Guggenheim Investments, Hedosophia, and Adage Capital, alongside prior investors like Fidelity and Atreides Management. The new money will fuel expansion in the U.S., U.K., and Europe, and the company plans to continue hiring new employees and improving its tech platform.

•Taunton, Massachusetts’ Martignetti Companies has appointed Michael Martignetti as the company’s new senior vice president, wine, effective October 1. The role, which covers all divisions of the company, will see the fourth-generation family member taking charge of sales, strategic planning, and management of inventory and supplier relationships, among other duties. Additionally, Michael Martignetti will work to standardize sales activities across the company’s divisions.

•Compass Box has announced Canvas, the latest blended malt whisky from the well-regarded independent bottler. The blend comes in at 46% abv and features whisky matured for three years in casks that held Vino Naranja, a Spanish fortified wine from Condado de Huelva that ages on orange peels. Only 5,880 bottles will be available worldwide. In the U.S., the whisky will retail for a suggested price of $150 and will be available on ReserveBar, Flaviar, and in other e-commerce channels. Canvas also has an interactive component whereby customers can create their own label designs. The bottle’s QR code links to a label template where customers can input a photo, sketch, or any other artwork and then print it out for use on the bottle. Bacardi has a minority stake in Compass Box.

•Sparkling Ice Spiked, the hard seltzer based on the non-alcoholic brand of the same name, has entered the New York market. All four flavors—Ruby Fizz, Cherry Lime Chiller, Strawberry Citrus Smash, and Lemonade Refresher—are now available in New York City, Westchester, and Long Island. The brand has gained placement in independent local stores as well as chains like King Kullen, Shop Rite, and Foodtown. Sparkling Ice Spiked comes in at 4% abv and 80 calories per 12-ounce can.
