•Yamazaki 25, Compass Box Canvas, and newcomers from Dalmore and Garrison Brothers are among the offerings featured in Whisky Advocate’s latest weekly roundup. The magazine’s website has all the details.

•Diageo has announced the second round of releases in its Prima & Ultima collection of single malt Scotch whiskies, with registration now open for collectors to indicate their interest in the bottles. This release consists of eight bottles selected from Diageo’s Scotch distilleries and only 376 full sets will be released for a suggested price of £23,500 (including tax and duty), which converts to $32,641. Whiskies in this collection come from Convalmore, Auchroisk, Lagavulin, and Brora, among others. In September, Diageo will auction off the first set of bottles from this collection through Sotheby’s, with proceeds benefiting humanitarian agency CARE International.

•Portland, Oregon’s NW Wine Company has announced a new investment from Casparian Partners, an agriculture-focused investment company. The undisclosed funds will be used to expand NW’s vineyard holdings—currently at more than 700 acres—as well as increase production capacity. NW Wine co-founder John Niemeyer put the company at over 300,000 cases currently. The company focuses on producing custom wines for its clients, drawing from its vineyard holdings across the state.
