News Alert: RNDC Expands Into Five Additional Control States

August 24, 2021

Republic National Distributing Co. (RNDC) has announced its entry into five new control states, including Iowa, Maine, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. The initial focus will be on spirits in the new control states, with the company planning to add wine to its offering looking ahead.

“We are standing up a new sales team in each of these states, and we plan to strategically increase our presence as we build the business,” said Joe Gigliotti, RNDC Region President-Control States. “It’s a unique opportunity and one that will be a huge benefit to RNDC suppliers and customers.”

RNDC expects to begin selling in these states beginning in the fourth quarter of this year. “This is a crucial strategic move to offer our suppliers broker access across all 17 Control States,” Gigliotti said.

With the addition of the new states, RNDC will have a footprint of 37 U.S. states, plus Washington, D.C. The distributor also recently announced entry into the Illinois market. The second-ranked spirits and wine wholesaler in the U.S. market, RNDC has projected 2021 revenues of $12.5 billion.—Daniel Marsteller
