•In case you missed yesterday’s news alert, RNDC is expanding its footprint with five new control states: Iowa, Maine, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. With the addition of the new states, RNDC will have a footprint of 37 U.S. states, plus Washington, D.C. Here’s the full story.

•Islay-based single malt Scotch brand Ardbeg has announced its latest release, Ardbeg Traigh Bhan Batch 3. The 19-year-old whisky is set to hit shelves this September and is part of the distillery’s yearly limited-release of substantially aged whisky. This year’s batch comes in at 46.2% abv and features the signature of Ardbeg’s director of distilling and whisky creation, Dr. Bill Lumsden. Ardbeg Traigh Bhan Batch 3 will retail for around $300 a 750-ml. Ardbeg is part of the Moët Hennessy portfolio. Ardbeg jumped 32% to 41,000 cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank.

•Beam Suntory’s James B. Beam Distilling Co. has launched a new quarterly DTC membership program, available in Kentucky and Washington, D.C., called Barreled and Boxed. Beginning today at 10am, the company will offer 500 consumers the chance to sign up to receive four shipments of two bottles per year, with the releases covering distillery rarities, limited releases, and new whiskies. The first box will sell for $270 and includes a rebottling of Little Book Chapter 1 along with Little Book Chapter 5, the latest release in the series. Interested consumers can head to the program’s website to sign up.

•Novo Fogo Cachaça is bolstering its line of canned cocktails with a new Brazilian Old Fashioned Highball RTD. It’s made with Novo Fogo’s one-year aged Chameleon cachaça, making it the first canned cocktail in the brand’s lineup to contain an aged spirit, along with vanilla syrup, orange and aromatic bitters, water, and carbonation. Following in the footsteps of Novo Fogo’s Sparkling Caipirinha RTD line, launched in 2017, the Old Fashioned Highball is at 9% abv and is available nationwide for $3 a 200-ml can or $12 a 4-pack. Novo Fogo, handled by 375 Park Avenue Spirits, also recently released a new Bar Strength Cachaça at 43% abv.
