•Disaronno International has launched Engine gin, a new Italian spirit designed by Paolo Dalla Mora, former CMO at Moschino and global communications director for parent company Illva Saronno. The 42% abv gin is made with juniper and a variety of Italian botanicals, including Ligurian sage, lemon, licorice root, and damask rose. The gin is packaged in a tin mock-oil-can, evoking its creator’s passion for racing and cars. Engine is now available across the U.S. for a suggested price of $30 a 750-ml.

•Wilson Daniels has appointed Kim Wood as vice president, Southern Division, effective October 15. Having served as the Southwest regional manager for four years, in his new role Wood will oversee a team of seven regional and area sales managers. He will report to Shannon Coursey, Wilson Daniels’ senior vice president, national sales.

•California’s Shannon Family of Wines has named Brett Scallan as vice president of marketing. Most recently CMO and partner with Red Wolf Beverage, Scallan was previously senior vice president of marketing for both Treasury Wine Estates and Ste. Michelle Wine Estates. In his new role he’ll report directly to Shannon Family proprietors Clay and Angie Shannon. Shannon Family’s portfolio includes 13 Rams, Buck Shack, Clay Shannon, Giannecchini, High Valley, Mother Vine, Ovis, Shannon Ridge, Steele Wines, and Urgency.
