•Simi Winery, part of the Constellation portfolio, has partnered with actress Reese Witherspoon’s Reese Book Club (RBC) on a limited-edition holiday box called the Editor’s Collection. The Editor’s Collection will feature a Sonoma County Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, along with a note from Witherspoon. Each box retails for $55 for a two-pack and $135 for a six-pack. Moving forward, Simi and RBC plan to spotlight diverse female narratives and “inspire people to embrace the ritual of sharing wine and books.”
•Scottish lowland distillery Bladnoch announced the release of three new Scotch whiskies in the U.S. All single malts, they are Vinaya, 11 Year Old, and 14 Year Old. Vinaya, named for a Sanskrit word meaning respect or gratitude, is a no-age-statement expression that follows the 2018 release of Samsara, Bladnoch’s first no-age-statement release. It’s priced at $55 a 750-ml. The 11 Year Old was 100% aged in ex-Bourbon casks and retails for $65 a 750-ml., while the 14 Year was matured in ex-Oloroso sherry casks and retails for $110; both age statement expressions will be annual releases going forward. All three are available at select retailers in seven states that include New York, Texas, and California, among others.
•Vintage Wine Estates has partnered with Kevin O’Leary, businessman and investor and host of Shark Tank, to create “Shop Mr. Wonderful,” a new online platform featuring selections from VWE’s portfolio. The store features a curated selection wines from B.R.
