•Hershey, Pennsylvania’s Tröegs Independent Brewing has released Double Blizzard, a new seasonal IPA, this one a higher-abv take on the brewery’s Blizzard of Hops. The 8.3% abv ale is described as semi-hazy and is made with Centennial, Chinook, and El Dorado hops before being dry hopped with four pounds of Chinook and Galaxy hops per barrel of beer. Double Blizzard is now available throughout Tröegs’ distribution footprint in 16-ounce cans and on draft.

•Longmont, Colorado’s Oskar Blues has announced two winter seasonals, rolling out now. First up is the barrel-aged variant of the brewery’s Ten Fidy Imperial Stout. The 12.5% abv stout matured in barrels for eight months before canning. Oskar Blues’ other seasonal—BA21 Vol. 7—is also a barrel-aged stout, this one a continuation of the company’s barrel aging program that started in 2020. BA21 Vol. 7 is an 11.5% abv sweet stout made with graham crackers, chocolate, and cherries, and aged in whiskey barrels. Both beers are available for a limited time in Oskar Blues’ distribution footprint. The brewery is part of the Canarchy collective of brewers.
