•San Antonio, Texas-based Maverick Whiskey is releasing a new Bourbon expression. Called Samuel Maverick Barrel Proof Straight Bourbon Whiskey, it’s a limited-edition offering that was pot-distilled from a mash of 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley, then aged a minimum of two years in new charred white oak barrels. It’s at 57% abv and is available in select Texas retailers for $55 a 750-ml. Additionally, Maverick is launching statewide distribution of its Texas Dry Gin which was previously only available at the distillery tasting room for $45 a bottle; both are now distributed by RNDC. Maverick Whiskey was founded in 2017 by Kenneth Maverick, a descendant of early San Antonio settler Samuel Maverick.
