February 2, 2022•Michigan’s Founders Brewing has appointed Elton Andres Knight as CEO. Knight joined Founders’ parent company Mahou in 2014 and assumed the role of chief executive for Mahou subsidiary Avery Brewing Company in 2019. Knight will continue in his role as CEO for Avery Brewing while leading Founders, which ranks among the largest craft brewers in the U.S.
•Hershey, Pennsylvania-based Tröegs Independent Brewing is releasing Double Nugget Nectar, a modified version of its Nugget Nectar Imperial Amber Ale. Brewed primarily with Simcoe hops alongside Columbus and Nugget hops, Double Nugget ups the beer to 9.5% abv. It’s available now on draft and in 16-ounce cans in extremely limited supply throughout Tröegs’ distribution footprint.
