•Hendrick’s has unveiled a new limited edition gin, Neptunia. Retailing at $40 a 750-ml., the newcomer is bottled at 43.4% abv. Part of master distiller Lesley Gracie’s Cabinet of Curiosities, the new expression uses a blend of Scottish coastal botanicals—Hendrick’s distillery is located two miles from the sea in Girvan, Scotland—and has a sea foam green label. Hendrick’s, part of the William Grant & Sons portfolio, grew 20% to 530,000 cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank.

•Constellation Brands has extended Kim Crawford with two new releases: a Prosecco and the RTD Iced Tea Wine Spritz. Kim Crawford Prosecco is made from 85% Glera with the remainder a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Gris, all sourced from Veneto, Italy. The new RTD is a blend of the brand’s New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with iced tea, flavoring, and seltzer. It’s available in Lemon and Peach flavors and comes in 4-packs of 12-ounce cans. Both new releases carry a suggested retail price of $15.

•Breakthru Beverage Group has agreed to acquire and integrate J.J. Taylor’s Minnesota beer business for an undisclosed sum. The move enhances Breakthru’s Minnesota beer portfolio and further strengthens the company’s Midwest footprint. Expected to close later this spring, the deal will also enhance Breakthru’s Twin Cities beer distribution as it consolidates its beer portfolio into J.J. Taylor’s 600,000 square-foot warehouse. The company will have a portfolio of more than 65 domestic, imported, and local and national craft beer brands.

•California’s Scheid Family Wines has taken a 50% stake in Hoxie Spritzer, a wine-based RTD. The deal will see Scheid taking on production and operations for Hoxie. Financials weren’t disclosed. Hoxie’s portfolio includes Lemon Ginger Rosé and Grapefruit Elderflower, as well as seasonal offerings like Strawberry Rosé. The RTDs are at 5% abv, 90 calories, and come in 4-packs of 250-ml. cans for around $15.

•Disaronno International has named Robert Cullins as executive vice president. He joins from a four-year stint at Gruppo Montenegro, where he was most recently managing director for the Americas, and previously has served as the CEO of Stoli Group, president and CEO of Heritage Brands, as well as various roles with Shaw-Ross and Diageo over his 30 years in the industry. At Disaronno International, he will oversee the company’s line of products including recent releases The Busker Irish whiskey, Tia Maria, and Engine Gin. Disaronno’s namesake liqueur was up 16% to 390,000 cases in the U.S. last year, according to Impact Databank.

•Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) has appointed Jenn Engel to chief commercial sales officer, effective March 7. Reporting to RNDC COO Bob Hendrickson, Engel will be responsible for commercial sales strategy and overall direction of the distribution giant’s commercial sales teams. Engel joined RNDC in 2020 and most recently served as senior vice president, national & strategic accounts, on-premise. “Jenn brings a proven track record to this role and I have no doubts she will continue to exceed our expectations,” Hendrickson said. “In just two years she dramatically changed the scope and breadth of our national and strategic accounts. By taking on the CCSO role, Jenn will continue to be a change agent and high-impact leader and will elevate RNDC’s services to suppliers and customers.”

•Monfleurie Cognac Grand Champagne has launched a new ultra-luxury offering. The Cognac, bottled from two barrels of eau-de-vie that have matured since 1960 blended with select spirits from the Maison Boinaud cellars, is bottled at 40.6% abv and doesn’t contain any added coloring or flavoring. While Monfleurie L’Orchidee is blended with multiple Maison Boinaud Grande Champagne eau-de-vies, over two-thirds of the bottling come from the 1960 vintage barrels. Monfleurie L’Orchidee is available through the brand’s website for $2,900 a 750-ml. or $395 a 100-ml.
