•Michter’s US*1 Barrel Strength Rye, Old Fitzgerald 17 year old Bottled in Bond, and newcomers from Stranahan’s and Balcones are among the offerings featured in Whisky Advocate’s latest weekly roundup. The magazine’s website has all the details.

•Simi Winery, part of the Constellation portfolio, is adding an Editor’s Collection Rosé to its lineup of wines marketed in partnership with Reese Witherspoon’s Reese’s Book Club. Retailing at $19 a 750-ml., Editor’s Collection Rosé is made from California Pinot Noir in a Provence style, according to the company, and is launching nationally. Simi’s Editor’s Collection initially debuted last fall with a limited edition box set. A portion of the proceeds benefit Reese’s Book Club’s efforts to support literacy.

•Tahoe Blue Vodka has struck a five-year partnership with RNDC to expand in the western U.S. The move will see RNDC boost Tahoe Blue Vodka’s presence in Sacramento and San Francisco, as well as enter Southern California. The agreement also includes plans for expansion to other Western states. Tahoe Blue Vodka, retailing around $20 a 750-ml., saw volume increase 31% to 53,000 cases last year. The brand has donated over $200,000 of its proceeds to organizations that work to protect Lake Tahoe and its surrounding environment.
