•Bacardi Ltd. has announced a $1 million donation to the Red Cross and Mercy Corps to alleviate suffering in Ukraine. The cash will support food and medicine distribution, as well as training for medics and first responders. In addition, the funds will go toward helping families reunite and to provide emergency cash and resources as needed by those on the ground. Beyond its donation, Bacardi has also suspended its exports and advertising to Russia.

•Chopin Imports has aligned nationally with Republic National Distributing Company, bringing Chopin’s entire portfolio under the purview of the distribution heavyweight. The move will be effective on April 1. In addition, Chopin will continue to work with other distributors in states outside RNDC’s footprint. Chopin’s portfolio includes its namesake vodka, Benromach Scotch whisky, and Dorda liqueurs, among other brands.

•White Claw Hard Seltzer has expanded its lineup with four new flavors. Launching under the White Claw Surf banner, the newcomers include Citrus Yuzu Smash, Tropical Pomelo Smash, Watermelon Lime Smash, and Wildberry Acai Smash, all at 5% abv and debuting in a 12-can variety pack. According to the company, White Claw contributed over $2 billion to the hard seltzer category in 2021, which was more than the next two largest seltzer brands combined.
