Cocktails-To-Go Return In New York
April 11, 2022The state of New York is set to permit cocktails-to-go for a period of three years as part of its new budget, which is set to be signed by Governor Kathy Hochul. The budget allows on-premise operators to sell and deliver cocktails to-go with a food purchase—including via third-party delivery. Eighteen states and the District of Columbia have passed legislation to make cocktails to-go permanent, according to the Distilled Spirits Council of the U.S. (DISCUS), and 13 other states passed legislation to allow cocktails to-go on a temporary basis.
