•Westland Colere (Edition 2), Jack Daniel’s Bonded Series, and newcomers from New Riff and Whiskey Del Bac are among the offerings featured in Whisky Advocate’s latest weekly roundup.

•Indiana-based Oliver Winery & Vineyards has released this year’s edition of Peach Pie, the winery’s popular sweet summer seasonal. The 8.3% abv wine is an apple-based wine with added peach flavoring. Peach Pie retails for $12 a 750-ml. and is available in 41 states as well as through the winery’s website. The wine is now available while supplies last. Last year, Oliver was at 740,000 cases in the U.S., up nearly 15% and earning an Impact “Hot Brand” award.

•E. Guigal, the prominent Northern Rhône Valley producer, has expanded its holdings in the Southern Rhône with the purchase of Château d’Aquéria in Tavel from the de Bez family. The estate totals 242 acres with 168 under vine. Approximately 100 of those acres are in Tavel while the remaining vines are in the neighboring Lirac appellation. Wine Spectator has the full story.

•Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits has donated $100,000 through three charities to support humanitarian relief in Ukraine. The donations were contributed by SGWS employees and then matched by the company. The three selected charities are World Central Kitchen, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere, and they will receive $42,214, $40,127.52, and $17,659, respectively. “Southern Glazer’s stands in support of the Ukrainian people and we cannot thank our employees enough for their generous contributions to this campaign,” said Wayne Chaplin, Southern Glazer’s CEO.
