•Breakthru Beverage and Copper Cane Wine & Provisions have expanded their partnership, with the distributor taking over Copper Cane’s portfolio across the Chicagoland area. The new partnership takes effect immediately and will cover the full range of Copper Cane’s wine portfolio, including brands like Böen, Belle Glos, Quilt, and Elouan. Copper Cane, founded by Joe Wagner when he sold Meiomi to Constellation in 2015, produces wines that retail at $20 and up, with an increasing focus on the higher end.

•BenRiach, a Brown-Forman brand, has launched its first single cask whiskies ever made available in the U.S. For its American debut, the Benriach Cask Edition has released three bottlings, ranging in age from 12 to 24 years. The youngest whisky, 2009 (12 Year)–Cask #3812: Pedro Ximénez Puncheon, comes in at 58.2% abv and 642 bottles will be available in California, Kentucky, Oregon, Washington, Georgia, Massachusetts, and New York for $100 a 700-ml. The second cask, 1998 (23 Year)–Cask #10297: Marsala, is at 55.4% abv and 264 bottles will be available in Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Delaware, Washington D.C., Florida, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Wisconsin for $330. The final cask, 1997 (24 Year)–Cask #15058: Oloroso Puncheon, is a 55.4% abv single malt with 641 bottles going to Georgia, Massachusetts, New York, and other major cities.

•New Amsterdam Vodka is entering the RTD category with the launch of Wildcard. The new line of vodka-based drinks is debuting with three flavors: Original Hard Lemonade, Classic Hard Punch, and Lemon Hard Tea, all at 8% abv. The design on the can features the word Wildcard in a graffiti-inspired font superimposed over the New Amsterdam logo. Wildcard is on shelves now in flavor-specific 4-packs of 12-ounce cans. New Amsterdam is part of Spirit of Gallo.
