•Few Spirits Motor Oil, The Macallan M Collection, and newcomers from Catoctin Creek and Wyoming Whiskey are among the offerings featured in Whisky Advocate’s latest weekly roundup. The magazine’s website has all the details.

•Pernod Ricard is extending Redbreast Irish whiskey with a new American Oak series. The first offering, Redbreast Kentucky Oak Edition, is made from malted and unmalted barley, triple distilled in copper pot stills, and matured in American oak Bourbon barrels and Spanish Oloroso sherry butts, before being finished for three to seven months in naturally air-dried PEFC certified American Oak, sourced from the Taylor family’s Elk Cave Farm in Kentucky. The 50.5% abv bottling is now available at select retailers, priced at around $96 a bottle.

•Beam Suntory’s Hornitos Tequila brand, after announcing its partnership with advocacy group GLAAD, has named the first round of grant recipients awarded for their work benefiting the LGBTQ community. The grants are for $10,000 and follow Hornitos’ previous donation of $135,000 to GLAAD. The first beneficiaries are DaShawn Usher and Julian J. Walker of MOBI (Mobilizing Our Brothers Initiative), and Maria Louise Roman-Taylorson of TransLatin@ Coalition (TLC). MOBI hosts professional development, social, and wellness events for gay and queer people of color. TLC advocates for the trans community by providing resources and raising funds for those in need.
