•Louisville, Kentucky’s Michter’s has announced the 2022 bottling of the brand’s 10-year-old rye whiskey, the only 10-year-old bottling from the company to be released this year. The single barrel rye is bottled at 46.4% abv and is made from a Kentucky-style mash using a substantial portion of corn and barley to provide balance to the majority rye mash. The whiskey carries a suggested price of $185 a bottle and is available in limited quantities across the U.S. While the company typically also releases a 10-year-old Bourbon, this year they’re holding that for 2023, according to master distiller Dan McKee.

•RTD cocktail company Ohza has brought on Joe Jonas as an investor. Along with the undisclosed investment, Ohza and Jonas are partnering on a new product line, Fizzy Sangria. Made with 100% real juice and sparkling wine, it’s offered in two flavors, Red and White, both with an SRP of $10 per 4-pack of 12-ounce cans. Fizzy Sangria joins Ohza’s existing line of canned Mimosas and Bellinis. It’s debuting nationwide through Ohza’s distribution network, which includes Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, Breakthru Beverage, and Columbia Distributing, among others.
