•Frederick Wildman & Sons president and COO Marc Hirten has stepped down, with his duties to be filled by CEO Roberta Corrà until a replacement is named. Additionally, Matt Munn has been named chief commercial officer at Wildman. Munn, a 20-year industry veteran, was most recently with Southern Glazer’s and also spent time with Gallo and Schieffelin & Somerset (now Moet Hennessy USA).

•Clase Azul has launched a new luxury Tequila, celebrating the brand’s 25th anniversary. Clase Azul 25 Aniversario Limited Edition is bottled at 40% abv and comes in a 1-liter decanter painted in the brand’s signature cobalt blue and featuring floating dandelion seeds. Only 9,125 bottles of the Reposado Tequila will be available for a suggested price of $500 a bottle.

•Beam Suntory has announced the second batch of Booker’s Bourbon for 2022. This iteration—the Lumberyard Batch—aged for just over seven years before bottling at 62.4% abv. The whiskey is named for Booker Noe’s job before joining the Beam distillery. Booker’s Bourbon the Lumberyard Batch is now rolling out across the U.S. in limited quantities for a suggested price of $90 a 750-ml.

•Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits has named Stephanie Silvestre as senior vice president, supply chain & operations strategy. Silvestre has over a decade of experience at SGWS. She most recently served as senior vice president, supply chain. In this new role, Silverstre will lead the distributor’s 10-year plan to overhaul the supply chain and operations space within the industry. She will report to Bobby Burg, senior vice president and chief supply chain officer. Succeeding Silvestre is Drew Vermilion, previously the company’s vice president, replenishment, logistics, and analytics.
