•Brother’s Bond Bourbon, the brand started by actors Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, is launching its first limited release. The new expression, Brother’s Bond Original Cask Strength Bourbon, was made from a selection of 70 barrels of Brother’s Bond Original, bottled at 57.9% abv. Cask Strength is available now on ReserveBar for pre-sale and will ship soon to select retailers for a suggested $80 a 750-ml. Brother’s Bond launched last year and depleted over 30,000 cases with distribution in 35 states.

•Georgetown, Kentucky’s Blue Run Spirits will launch Golden Rye Whiskey Batch 2 later this afternoon. The rye was made during the same distillation cycle as the first batch of Golden Rye and is bottled at 47.5% abv. Batch 2 was blended from 102 barrels and will be available through the brand’s website this afternoon at 3pm, as well as rolling out to select retailers across the U.S. Blue Run’s volume is expected to rise to 50,000 six-pack cases this year, quintupling over its 2021 total, with sales projected at around $15 million.

•Kobrand Fine Wine and Spirits has introduced Alizé Midnight Passion, the newest release from the French liqueur brand. Midnight Passion is a mix of vodka, black raspberry, and passion fruit, bottled at 16% abv. The new release is the 10th in the Alizé portfolio and joins other flavors like Red, Bleu, and Gold Passion, plus a variety of fruit-flavored options. Midnight Passion is now available for a suggested price of $20 a bottle.

•Procera gin has added two new expressions—Red Dot and Green Dot—made from botanicals gathered during the 2021 juniper harvest. Procera Red Dot is bottled at 51% abv and builds on the original gin’s flavor profile by adding locust bean, alligator pepper, and ashanti pepper, among other African botanicals. Kenya-based Procera’s other new release, Green Dot, is at 47% abv and made only from parts of the juniper tree, including the berries, foliage, and toasted wood. Red Dot carries a suggested price of $100 a bottle and Green Dot goes for $120. Procera is distributed in Massachusetts and New York, as well as sold online through Mash & Grape.

•Breakthru Beverage has appointed Michelle Ried as senior director of analytics and insights. In her new role, Ried will further develop Breakthru’s analytics strategy and promote an increased focus on data-driven metrics. She will report to Samuel Anderson, vice president, commercial excellence. “Michelle’s appointment further strengthens BBG’s A&I function by inspiring an analytical mindset, where consumer and sales insights are used to drive better business decisions that grow supplier and customer partnerships and revenue,” said Anderson.
