Rémy Cointreau Off To Strong Start In Fiscal First Quarter
July 27, 2022Rémy Cointreau saw sales jump 27% to €410 million ($415m) in its fiscal first quarter ended in June on a 12.5% increase in volume, partially boosted by shipment phasing in the U.S. Growth was propelled by a 32% increase in Rémy’s core Cognac division to €292 million ($296m), which has seen “sustained demand for its high-end and mid-range products (Louis XIII, Rémy Martin XO and 1738 Accord Royal)” in the U.S. market, according to the company.
Rémy’s Liqueurs & Spirits division saw 19% rise in organic growth to €110 million ($111m) in the first quarter. In the U.S., Cointreau liqueur and Bruichladdich whiskies are driving momentum, while The Botanist gin is gaining new listings after its recent Super Bowl campaign, the company noted.—Daniel Marsteller
