•Beam Suntory has launched the second release in Tequila Tres Generaciones’ Legacy Series, La Colonial Reposado. The 45% abv Tequila pays tribute to the second Don of Familia Sauza, Don Eladio, and is named for Guadalajara’s first nightclub, La Colonial Club, founded by Eladio. New releases in the Legacy Series will come out annually, and La Colonial Reposado follows last year’s Cenobio’s Batch Plata. The new release is now available in limited quantities across the U.S. for a suggested price of $90 a 750-ml.

•Fresh Vine Wine, the lower calorie wine brand from Nina Dobrev and Julianne Hough, has released a new Sauvignon Blanc. The new addition to the brand’s portfolio comes in at 12.5% abv and 98 calories per 5-ounce glass, and is made from grapes sourced from California. The new Sauvignon Blanc joins Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Rosé in Fresh Vine’s portfolio, which retails between $15 and $23 in stores nationwide.

•Southern Glazer’s executive vice president and general manager for Illinois, Terry Brick, will retire at the end of this year after almost four decades in the drinks business, including more than 20 years with Southern Glazer’s. Succeeding Brick as executive vice president and general manager, Illinois, is Michael Thompson, effective October 1. Thompson is a 30-year industry veteran who joined the company in 2005 and has most recently served as EVP-GM for Indiana. He’ll report to Mike McLaughlin, Southern Glazer’s president for the Central Region.

•Grenada’s Renegade Rum Distillery has announced the Pre-Cask Collection, a new line of white rums bottled to showcase the influence of terroir on sugar cane. The four white rums are Single Farm Origin: Nursery; Single Farm Origin: Hope; and Single Farm Origin: Lake Antoine, from which two rums—Upper and Lower Crater Lake South—are sourced. All four rums are bottled at 50% abv and carry a suggested price of $65 a 700-ml. Renegade Rum’s portfolio is handled in the U.S. by Glass Revolution Imports.

•Lux Row Distillers has introduced the newest member of the Daviess County Bourbon brand family: Daviess County Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Lightly Toasted American Oak Barrels. A limited allocation of 3,000 six-pack cases of Daviess County Lightly Toasted will reach retail shelves across the country later this month at a suggested retail price of $50 a bottle. Daviess County Lightly Toasted features its namesake brand family’s signature combination of ryed and wheated Bourbon mashbills, which is aged four-plus years in charred-oak barrels and comes in at 48% abv.

•Tenjaku Whisky USA has announced the national launch of Tenjaku Gin. Available in 40 states, the gin is made with a maceration of over 10 Japanese botanicals including Yuzu, Peach, Green Tea, and Japanese pepper, distilled London Dry style with water from the Mount Fuji basin. Tenjaku Gin and Tenjaku Whisky are imported by MHW, Ltd. Tenjaku Gin is bottled at 43% abv and retails at $30 a bottle.

•Milestone Brands has appointed Daniel Walker as chief operating officer, reporting to CEO Eric Dopkins. According to the company, Walker “will support Milestone Brands’ strategic planning as it integrates Victoria Distillers Inc. and Empress 1908 Gin, and improves its agility and speed while developing the company’s international footprint.” Prior to joining Milestone, the drinks industry veteran was most recently president of Infinium Spirits.
