•San Diego, California’s Coronado Brewing Company has entered the hard cider market with a new line of eponymously titled ciders. Coronado Hard Cider is kicking off the line with two releases—Nice & Dry and Super Fruit—both available in 4-packs of cans. Nice & Dry comes in at 6% abv and is made from Pacific Northwest apples. Super Fruit adds acai and blueberries to the equation, bringing the abv to 5.5%. Currently, the ciders are rolling out in southern California with a planned expansion into the northern part of the state coming soon.
•Harpoon Brewery has launched Open League, the first non-alcoholic beer from the New England brewer. The 0.5% abv or less beer is modeled after hazy IPAs and is made with Simcoe, Citra, and Mosaic hops, with added sea salt and toasted buckwheat, among other ingredients.
