RNDC Closes Deal To Officially Enter New York, Partnering With Opici

September 2, 2022

Republic National Distributing Company has closed its deal with the Opici family to form a new equal partnership between RNDC and Opici for joint distribution of wine and spirits in the State of New York. Originally announced last November, the deal takes effect immediately and does not cover Opici’s other markets. With the move into New York, RNDC is now present across 38 states and Washington, D.C., with revenues projected at $13 billion this year, according to Shanken’s Impact Newsletter.

The collaboration continues Opici’s partnership with RNDC, which acquired Opici’s former Florida-based distribution company in January, 2021. In New York, Opici handles the Bronco Wine Co., Don Sebastiani & Sons, Pacific Highway, Precept, Purple Wines & Spirits, Vintage Point, Wente, and WX Brands portfolios, among others.

“Our proactive approach with our suppliers and customers differentiates this joint venture from our competitors and positions us well to build a great new company together in New York—something RNDC has successfully done in several markets,” said RNDC CEO Nick Mehall. “We look forward to dramatic growth as we service the New York market.”
