•Dewar’s 8 year old French Smooth, Woodford Reserve Honey Barrel Finish, and newcomers from Jefferson’s and Milam & Greene are among the offerings featured in Whisky Advocate’s latest weekly roundup.
•RNDC and LibDib have announced LibDib@RNDC LA, a new RNDC sales division in the state of Louisiana. LibDib@RNDC LA brings LibDib’s online distribution model to RNDC Louisiana, and allows all compliant suppliers to secure distribution for products in the state. To start, LibDib@RNDC LA will open to a select group of both LibDib and RNDC wine and spirits suppliers. The sales division will then open the market to all suppliers in the coming months. With the addition of Louisiana, LibDib is now available in 12 states.
•Charleston, South Carolina-based Grain & Barrel Spirits is releasing 15 barrels of Chicken Cock Private Cask Bourbon in celebration of National Bourbon Heritage month. The whiskies will vary in proof depending on the barrel, but all are 7-year-old barrels selected by Chicken Cock master distiller Gregg Snyder. The Private Cask releases will be available in select retailers in Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, South Carolina, and Wisconsin, as well as the Kentucky Bourbon Festival in Bardstown, for a suggested price of $130 a bottle.Subscribe to Shanken News Daily’s Email Newsletter, delivered to your inbox each morning.
