•William Grant & Sons has announced a new addition to Glenfiddich’s core whiskies, a 12-year-old single malt finished in Sherry casks. The 43% abv whisky is first matured in American and European oak before being transferred to Amontillado Sherry casks for finishing. While the whisky is now part of brand’s core offerings, it’s rolling out in limited markets at first, hitting shelves in California and Florida now for a suggested price of $55. In addition, William Grant has teamed up with e-commerce facilitator Thristie to launch dedicated online stores for Glenfiddich and the Balvenie. Consumers are able to order whiskies directly through the websites and orders are fulfilled by partnered liquor stores in the buyer’s area.

•Mendoza, Argentina’s Kaikén Wines, part of the Montes family of wineries, has named Arano USA as the Argentine winery’s new marketer and distributor. The Miami, Florida-based importer will handle Kaikén’s Estate, Indómito, and Ultra tiers, which cover varietals like Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Cabernet Franc, among others. Arano will also handle Kaikén’s two prestige wines, Disobedience by Francis Mallmann and Mai.

•WhistlePig has appointed Sarah Long as chief marketing officer and Duffey Sida as chief sales officer. Prior to WhistlePig, Long served as CMO at Mars Wrigley and Rémy Cointreau respectively where she oversaw respective multi-billion dollar brand portfolios in the U.S. Formerly the head of Rare US at Campari Group, Sida has been in spirits sales for 20 years with major suppliers like Campari and Constellation.

•Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits has appointed BJ Vorderer as executive vice president, managing director, American-Liberty Division, effective October 1. Vorderer, who will report to Gene Sullivan, chief sales and marketing officer, will be responsible for overseeing Southern Glazer’s American-Liberty Division, which is the dedicated unit for the Pernod Ricard USA portfolio across Southern Glazer’s U.S. network in 35 states. Vorderer most recently served as national vice president, Commercial Planning & Operations at Pernod Ricard USA. He succeeds John Trainer, who will be transitioning to a new leadership role at the end of the year, to be announced.

•Breakthru Beverage Group has promoted TJ Radzilowicz to director, Commercial Strategy. Radzilowicz will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of key strategic projects across the organization, supporting the company’s core business and driving long-term growth. His remit includes identifying and vetting potential M&A opportunities, as well as sourcing opportunities for investment and partnership. Radzilowicz previously served as manager, Corporate Strategy. He will report to Kevin Roberts, EVP, Supplier Business Development.
