•Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey has released its first rye whiskey. Bottled at 52.9% abv, Uncle Nearest Uncut/Unfiltered Straight Rye Whiskey was sourced from Canada and matured in New York for a minimum of four years. It was blended by Victoria Eady Butler, the brand’s master blender and a fifth-generation descendant of the brand’s namesake, Nearest Green. The new offering is a distillery exclusive available at the Nearest Green Distillery in Shelbyville, Tennessee, selling at $149.

•Argentina’s Domaine Bousquet has expanded Ameri, the company’s flagship single vineyard offering, with a new Malbec. The new wine joins Bousquet’s Ameri Red Blend and both retail for $37. The grapes for both the Malbec and the red blend are grown in the company’s vineyard in the Uco Valley’s Alto Gualtallery zone, roughly 4,000 feet above sea level. Like the red blend, the new Malbec is aged in French oak for roughly one year and is only available in limited quantities.

•Casa Komos Brands Group (CKBG), marketer of Komos Tequila and RTD brand Superbird, has appointed Leslie Serrero as international managing director. Serrero joins CKBG from LVMH, where, most recently, she served as senior vice president at Christian Dior Couture and as managing director of Fendi France and Monaco. In addition to bringing Serrero on board, CKBG has raised an additional $15 million in funding, aimed at expanding its portfolio in the U.S. and widening international distribution.
