•Heaven Hill Brands has named Matt Blevins as the company’s new chief marketing officer, effective October 24. In his new role, Blevins will take over for now co-president Kate Latts, who previously served as CMO. Blevins joins Heaven Hill with over 20 years experience in the spirits industry, with the bulk of that time working on Jack Daniel’s for Brown-Forman, where he rose through the company’s ranks to serve most recently as global brand director for the Tennessee whiskey.

•Delicato Family Wines has added two new sparkling wines to the Coppola brand. The brand now releases a Prosecco and a Prosecco rosé, both priced at $18 a 750-ml. and made from grapes sourced from Northeastern Italy. These are the first wines released under the Coppola brand that were not produced in California. In addition to entering the Prosecco category, Delicato and Coppola are preparing for a multi-million dollar advertising push set to kick off next year.

•Kobrand is introducing a new single-vineyard offering from Argentine winery Alta Vista. The newcomer, Single Vineyard Albaneve 2018, is 100% Malbec retailing at $51 a bottle. Albaneve joins Alizarine, Temis, and Serenade in Alta Vista’s Single Vineyard luxury portfolio. Alta Vista farms vineyards in the Mendoza areas of Lujan de Cuyo and Valle de Uco, as well as Cafayate in Salta, with all of its vineyards at above 3,200 feet of elevation. The vineyard for Albaneve was planted in 1999 in Valle De Uco.

•Molson Coors and Coca-Cola are deepening their partnership with the launch of Topo Chico spirits-based cocktails. Topo Chico Spirited will include Tequila- and vodka-based canned cocktails, which will initially debut in 20 markets next year. The spirits-based cocktails follow the recent launch of the two companies’ Simply Spiked Lemonade and their first year of national distribution for Topo Chico Hard Seltzer. These products marketed in alliance with Coca-Cola are among the latest initiatives “to aggressively grow Molson Coors’ above premium portfolio as part of the company’s revitalization plan,” according to the company.
