•Maverick Distilling has announced Samuel Maverick Private Reserve Bourbon, a new grain-to-glass whiskey from the San Antonio, Texas distiller. The 45% abv whiskey is distilled from corn, rye, and barley sourced from Texas and aged at the distillery, which is located near the Alamo. The whiskey is available at Maverick’s distillery and throughout Texas via RNDC for a suggested price of $75 a bottle.

•Stone Distributing Company (SDC) has named Brian Fried as general manager, effective October 31. He will oversee the sales and distribution of more than 40 supplier brands and the cross-functional teams supporting the organization. Fried held the position of regional vice president of the Western US for Heineken USA for 12 years. Most recently, he oversaw the commercial business at Recess, a startup wellness brand where he led the sales organization, built a distributor network, opened new national and regional accounts, and managed operations. Stone Distributing became a standalone independent distributor on August 31 of this year, when Stone Brewing was acquired by Sapporo USA.
