•Cloudy Bay, part of the Moet Hennessy portfolio, is introducing new packaging along with the release of its latest vintage of Sauvignon Blanc. “The bottle represents a refresh of our brand codes, but also a return to our heritage,” said Yang Shen, Cloudy Bay estate director. “We wanted to further embrace the beautiful Richmond Ranges that can be seen from our winery, and which were a core part of the original Cloudy Bay label.” The redesigned Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2022 is rolling out now nationwide, retailing at $35 a 750-ml.

•Diageo has announced the latest limited edition release from Don Julio Tequila, timed to the upcoming Dia de los Muertos holiday. Don Julio Ultima Reserva is an extra Añejo Tequila made using the final agave plants planted by Don Julio González in 2006. The 40% abv Tequila is aged using a solera system using ex-Bourbon barrels before being finished in Madeira-seasoned casks. Don Julio Ultima Reserva carries a suggested price of $500 and is available in select locations across the U.S. Don Julio is expected to deplete more than two million cases in the U.S. this year, and is the market’s 3rd largest selling Tequila, according to Impact Databank.

•Copper Cane Wines & Provisions has released the newest Taylor Lane offering from Belle Glos. The wine, vintage 2014, is sourced from the Taylor Lane vineyard found just six miles from the Pacific ocean in the West Sonoma Coast AVA. After vinification, the wine is aged for two years in barrels before being transferred to magnum bottles to mature until founder Joe Wagner deems the wine ready for release. For this vintage, the wine spent six years in bottle prior to release. The 2014 Belle Glos Taylor Lane Pinot Noir is now available for around $200 a 1.5-liter bottle.

•M.S. Walker has been named the U.S. importer for The Glenturret. Said to be the oldest working distillery in Scotland, The Glenturret’s portfolio includes Triple Wood ($60), 10 Year Peat Smoked ($70), 12 Year ($80), 15 Year ($130), 25 Year ($1,400), and 30 Year ($1,700) single malt Scotch whiskies. Glenturret is also known for bottling a new set of vintage whiskies every year. The Perthshire-based distillery was acquired by a joint venture led by The Lalique Group in 2019, and now houses a Lalique Bar, retail store, and Michelin-starred Glenturret Lalique Restaurant.
