Green Organic Dutchman Merges With BZAM To Form New Canadian Player

October 25, 2022

The Green Organic Dutchman Holdings has announced a deal to merge with fellow Canadian cannabis group BZAM to create a newly enlarged player. Expected to rank as the sixth-largest Canadian cannabis company post-merger, the combined entity is targeting $100 million in sales next year, with positive adjusted EBITDA projected by mid-2023.

The two companies said that the deal is complementary as it pairs The Green Organic Dutchman’s market strength in Quebec and Ontario with BZAM’s strong position in western markets. The combined group will have 400 listed SKUs across Canada.

Its portfolio will feature The Green Organic Dutchman’s organic premium flower and hash, under TGOD and Highly Dutch brands, as well as edibles from its joint venture with Wyld, which has shown rapid progress since launching late last year. The BZAM side brings vapes, infused pre-rolls, and flower at various price points under the BZAM, -ness, Table Top, Dunn Cannabis, and Fresh brands, which are well-established in British Columbia and Alberta.
