Republic National Distributing Company has acquired from Young’s Holdings, Inc. the remaining fifty percent of Young’s Market Company, LLC, which includes distribution operations in the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. The acquisition also includes Young’s Market Company’s part of the joint venture in Idaho. RNDC is now the sole owner of Young’s Market Company, LLC. The company has been operating as RNDC throughout the Young’s territory for some time, after initially striking the joint venture deal across the Young’s markets in 2019.

“We are proud of the work we have completed with our team in the Western region and are excited to acquire the remaining half of Young’s Market Company,” said Nick Mehall, President and CEO of RNDC. “Since joining RNDC, Young’s Market Company has made a significant impact on our business, and this acquisition will open the door to further investment in our Western region operations.”

“This transaction concludes a chapter that spanned multiple generations of the Underwood family,” said Christopher Underwood, President and CEO of Young’s Holdings, Inc. “Our family’s passion for the spirit and wine business has not wavered. We are excited to focus our efforts and resources on growing Infinium Spirits into a global leader and further enhancing Wilson Daniels’s leadership in fine wine. Our relationship with RNDC will continue to be a critical part of our growth for years to come.”

RNDC, now operating across 38 states and Washington, DC, is projected to have revenue of $13 billion this year, according to Shanken’s Impact Newsletter, including $2.8 billion in California, the largest market within the former Young’s territory.—Daniel Marsteller
