•Copper & Kings, part of the Constellation portfolio, has struck a new partnership with the NFL’s Green Bay Packers. The three-year deal includes activation on-site at Lambeau Field, and brand visibility within the stadium and in on- and off-premise accounts where Copper & Kings is distributed. Kentucky-based Copper & Kings, known for its array of American brandies, was fully acquired by Constellation in 2020.

•Broadbent Selections will import Chateau de Pommard’s Clos Marey-Monge range of wines into the U.S. beginning in January. Clos Marey-Monge is a 20-hectare (45-acre) clos surrounded by a two-meter-high stone wall, whose vineyards have been converted to biodynamic viticulture and contain 100-year-old vines. “The United States is a strategic market where we want to strengthen Château de Pommard’s presence, and Broadbent Selections is the right partner to match our ambitions,” said Château de Pommard director of trade Benoit Daury.

•Bacardi’s Tequila Cazadores has announced 100 Year Estate Release, a new release commemorating the century anniversary of Cazadores’ Reposado recipe. The 40% abv Tequila is distilled from Agave plants grown on the distillery’s property in Jalisco before maturing in a combination of American and French oak. Tequila Cazadores 100 Year Estate Release will be rolling out soon in limited quantities across the U.S. at a suggested price of $40 a 750-ml. Last year, Cazadores reached 602,000 cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank.

•Diageo has launched a new global campaign called ‘Drops of Advice,’ to encourage people to drink responsibly during the holidays. The campaign includes a video series on Diageo’s and Smirnoff’s social channels, created by New York-based, Venezuelan animator Igor Bastidas. Its tagline ‘Be wildly responsible’ will be rolled out globally, and in North America the assets will also be available in Spanish for the U.S. and French for Canada. The creative encourages consumers to visit the DRINKiQ responsible drinking website providing information and practical advice on alcohol, alongside a range of resources to encourage moderate consumption.

•Ilegal Mezcal has released a new 7-year-old Añejo mezcal in very limited quantities. The 41.32% abv mezcal was drawn from a selection of 35 French oak casks. Ilegal Mezcal 7 Year Añejo is packaged with a black wax topper and a label with gold lettering and branding. Fifty bottles of the spirit are available through Ilegal’s website with additional allocations going to select markets across the U.S. for a suggested price of $175 a 750-ml.
