•Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits has expanded its agreement with Sassenach Spirits, bringing the Scottish company into the Southern Glazer’s distribution ecosystem across the U.S. Currently, Sassenach has one offering—The Sassenach Scotch Whisky: Spirit of Home Edition—a 46% abv blended Scotch created by Outlander actor Sam Heughan and American businessman Alex Norouzi. In the near future, the company plans to launch a Scottish gin. The Sassenach will be distributed as part of Southern’s Craft Collection, the distributor’s specialized luxury spirits division.

•Villa One, the Tequila from Stoli Group, John Varvatos, and Nick Jonas, has announced its new online retail hub, created in partnership with Speakeasy. The new online store, hosted on the brand’s website, allows customers to easily order the Tequilas, while the brand remains three-tier compliant. In addition to selling individual bottles, Villa One offers packages with shirts, hats, signed guitars, and more. Villa One, launched in 2019, is distilled at Stoli’s Fabrica de Tequilas Finos distillery by master distiller Arturo Fuentes.

•Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey and Flying Dog Brewery have released a second, extremely limited batch of their collaborative Osopher Project, this time as a bundle which includes NFT artwork. The project celebrates the shared founder of both the distillery and the brewery George Stranahan and includes both a whiskey and a beer. The new bundle also includes a tote bag and an exclusive NFT drawn by artist Ralph Steadman. Twenty-four bundles are available to purchase through SpiritsNetwork.com.

•Louisville, Kentucky’s Buzzard’s Roost Sipping Whiskey has stepped into the e-commerce realm, launching a new online store that’s able to ship the brand’s whiskies to 32 states across the U.S. Initially, the store will sell three of the brand’s releases—Barrel Strength Bourbon, Barrel Strength rye, and Toasted Barrel rye—with products to be added in the future, starting with Toasted Barrel Bourbon. The move nearly triples Buzzard’s Roost’s availability in the U.S., making the whiskies available in a much larger portion of the country than the brand’s current 11 state footprint. The new e-commerce shop is accessible through the brand’s website.
