•Purple Brands’ Raeburn Winery has launched a new Barrel Select Russian River Valley Chardonnay, with the first release coming from the 2020 vintage. The wine, which retails for a suggested price of $30 a bottle, is sourced from select vineyards in the Russian River Valley and spends a year aging in a combination of French, American, and Hungarian oak before bottling. The new wine has launched exclusively in BevMo! stores in California and Georgia and is available now. Purple Brands has total volume of approximately 600,000 cases.

•Shelbyville, Tennessee’s Uncle Nearest Premium whiskey expects to see sales total about $200 million from now through the end of the next year. The company said it has now crossed $100 million in sales since its launch, and is seeing accelerating growth. For 2021, the brand reached 90,000 cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank. Meanwhile, the Nearest Green Distillery has welcomed over 100,000 guests since expanding and opening to the public on Juneteenth 2021. Uncle Nearest’s seven-whiskey portfolio ranges from $50 to $150 a bottle. Most recently, Uncle Nearest launched a rye whiskey, the first of three new releases set to hit shelves before the end of the year.

•Fredericksburg, Virginia’s A. Smith Bowman has announced Cask Strength Bourbon Batch #2. The whiskey—bottled at 72.25% abv—is aged for at least ten years and contains the last whiskies distilled by A. Smith Bowman’s former master distiller Joe Dangler. The second release in A. Smith Bowman’s cask strength series is rolling out now to select markets across the U.S., carrying a suggested price of $100 a 750-ml.
