•Proximo Spirits’ Bushmills has announced the latest release in the brand’s Rare Cask Series, a 30-year-old single malt. The 49% abv whiskey was initially barreled in October of 1991 and matured until February 2005 in a combination of ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks. Then, the whiskey was transferred to first-fill Madeira casks and continued maturing until it was selected for this release. The single malt carries a suggested price of $1,000 and will be available in extremely limited quantities across the U.S. It’s now available for pre-order through Flaviar.

•Los Angeles-based Casa Azul is expanding distribution of its Casa Azul Tequila Soda to key retailer locations nationwide. Launched in August of this year, the RTD brand is made with Tequila from Jalisco, Mexico and is at 5% abv. Retailers that now carry Casa Azul include Ralphs in Calfornia, Spec’s in Texas, and ABC Fine Wine & Spirits in Florida, as well as Total Wine & More in all three of those states. The brand sells flavors including Lime Margarita, Strawberry Margarita, Peach Mango, and Watermelon, which come in single-flavor 4-packs and variety 8-packs, with the 4-pack priced at $13.
