•After yesterday revealing its Cigar of the Year, Cigar Aficionado will today unveil its full list of the Top 25 Cigars of 2022. The release of the full list completes Cigar Aficionado’s year-end awards countdown, the culmination of test-smoking hundreds of cigars throughout the year.
•Lyre’s, a non-alcoholic beverage brand, has inked a national distribution partnership with Breakthru Beverage effective January 1. The partnership covers the majority of Breakthru’s U.S. footprint and includes launching Lyre’s in three new markets, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina. Lyre’s was launched in 2019 and offers a range of 18 alcohol-free recreations of classic spirits along with five RTDs and an Italian non-alc sparkling wine.
•Johnson Brothers has named Brandon Scott as president of its Central Region. The 20-year industry veteran will be responsible for executing the company’s commercial strategy across North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Indiana. Most recently, Scott served as managing director at the E.&J. Gallo Winery for the Midwest. Prior to that he led a 144-person team at Breakthru Beverage in Illinois.
