•Edrington has appointed Juan Campos as senior vice president, commercial for the U.S. and Canada, effective April 1. Campos has been with the company since 2008 when he was hired as a global brand manager in the Madrid office before relocating to New York in 2011. In 2018 he was named managing director of Edrington Mexico. In his new role, Campos will be responsible for overseeing brand marketing and business management and will spearhead the continued development of Edrington’s portfolio, which includes The Macallan, Highland Park, and The Glenrothes, among others, throughout the U.S. and Canada.

•Milestone Brands has aligned with Republic National Distributing Co. (RNDC) on a new national distribution agreement. Milestone’s offerings include Dulce Vida Tequila, Empress 1908 Gin, Campo Bravo Tequila, Naranja Orange Liqueur, Dulce Vida RTDs, and American Born Moonshine and Whiskey. “Our high growth brands are ready for the next level of distribution, execution, and activation in the U.S. market, and we believe RNDC can provide this step-change for us,” said Milestone CEO Eric Dopkins. The deal covers 33 U.S. markets and is effective February 1.

•Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits has launched the SGProof app to the Apple app store. The app—available to Southern Glazer’s customers—mimics the features of the distributor’s SGProof website, with the addition of an in-app barcode scanner to allow for a seamless purchasing or restocking experience. Last year, the SGProof platform did over $3 billion in sales, serving 82,000 hospitality customers with more than 61,000 products and more than 17 million cases delivered.

•Louisville, Kentucky-based Michter’s has announced the return of Celebration Sour Mash whiskey, marking the first time this spirit has been released since 2019. The whiskey is bottled at 56.4% abv and was bottled in late 2022 from seven barrels—three of Kentucky Straight Bourbon and four of Kentucky Straight rye—ranging in age from 12 to over 30 years old. This is the fourth ever release of Celebration Sour Mash. Each of the 328 bottles released comes in specialty box with a signed letter by Michter’s distiller Dan McKee. Michter’s Celebration Sour Mash carries a suggested price of $6,000 a bottle.

•Heaven Hill Brands is launching a new peanut butter flavored brand extension for Carolans Irish Cream. The 17% abv flavored Irish cream is the third flavored release for the brand and follows Cold Brew and Salted Caramel in the lineup. Carolans Peanut Butter will roll out across the U.S. in February for a suggested price of $15 a 750-ml.

•Terlato Wines has promoted Christa Rachlin to the role of vice president, national accounts, off-premise. Rachlin joined Terlato in 2020 as director of trade marketing/commercial center of excellence. Prior to Terlato, she spent time with Diageo and Treasury Wine Estates, holding senior roles in sales, operations, and trade marketing. She will report to Chris Miller, senior vice president of sales and will be a member of Terlato’s leadership team.
