Southern Glazer’s Bolsters On-Premise National Accounts TeamFebruary 1, 2023
Southern Glazer’s says it has made a “significant investment” to restructure its on-premise national accounts team. “As part of the strategic investment, the National Accounts On-Premise team will increase resources in sales, insights, and commercial operations,” according to the company.
The distributor has appointed Lisa Gulick to lead the revamped unit as SVP, national accounts on-premise, reporting to Chris Williams, EVP, national accounts. The 16-year industry veteran will be responsible for expanding SGWS suppliers’ national market access while furthering overall growth for on-premise customers. Her reports will include a six-person team of vice presidents dedicated to the on-premise national accounts market.
Regarding the drinks market’s national outlook, “Our belief is that spirits growth will likely be flattish in 2023 depending on economic conditions, with some price/mix growth,” Williams recently told SND. “We believe wine volume will likely decline low to mid-single digits in 2023 as the largest price tiers remain under pressure and growth continues to slow in higher price tiers.”—Daniel MarstellerSubscribe to Shanken News Daily’s Email Newsletter, delivered to your inbox each morning.
